Laura Iozzelli joined the IES as a PhD Researcher in the Environment and Sustainable Development cluster in October 2015.
After earning a M.Sc. degree in International Relations from LUISS University, in 2014 she received a L.L.M. with honors in Environmental Law from La Sapienza University (Rome, Italy) with a focus on the effectiveness of non-compliance procedures established under international environmental agreements.
Previously, she worked as an intern at the European Union Department of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as at a Publishing House in Rome.
Her research project, conducted under the supervision of Prof. Sebastian Oberthür, focuses mainly on the legitimacy of global climate/energy public-private partnerships and their effectiveness in delivering SD outcomes, as well as on the role played by the EU within innovative transnational governance mechanisms.
