Iulian Romanyshyn is a visiting researcher from the IMT Institute for Advanced Studies, Lucca, where he is a PhD student in Political Science. His doctoral dissertation is about EU effectiveness in multilateral security negotiations in the areas of arms trade, nuclear non-proliferation and space security. Prior to joining the IES, Iulian was a visiting researcher at the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence. In the past, he also worked in the Policy Department of DG External Policies at the European Parliament and in the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP). Iulian holds a Master’s degree in EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges (Belgium). He previously obtained a Master’s degree in Analysing Europe from Maastricht University (The Netherlands) and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” (Ukraine).
